Elementary
The Elementary program is for children ages 6 to 12. Children with prior Montessori experience may enter at any age. Classes are 5 days per week, 8:45am to 3:15 pm.
The Montessori Elementary Program seeks to instill within the child a respect for all life and an understanding of their unique place and purpose in the world. As they progress from the concrete to the abstract, local to global, the students are challenged to imagine life from other perspectives. The development of research, critical thinking and logical analysis skills provide a solid foundation for lifelong learning.
New students have completed the full Primary Montessori program and exhibit emotional and academic readiness. Physical education and music instruction are integral aspects of the program. After school activities are available in Drama, Chess, Dance and Foreign Language.
